Dear friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 12th edition of Galatasaray Eur

oforum, which will be held on 2-7 May 2012, in Istanbul, Turkey.

Galatasaray Euroforum is a Model European Union Conference organized by a non

-profit student association (ILDC) that aims to promote the European Union in

 Turkey. Euroforum conveys the simulation of the main bodies of the European 

Union, such as European Council, Council of the European Union, European Parl

iament and European Economic and Social Council. During the simulation, which

 will be held in English and French, participants will take over the roles of

 heads of governments, foreign ministers, Eurocrats and NGO representatives.

Euroforum offers its participants, with the contribution of experts, the oppo

rtunity to learn the functioning of the European Union, and in the meantime e

nhancing personal and diplomatic skills (public speaking, negotiation, strate

gy elaboration, debating and compromise). The participants will tackle curren

t and pressing international issues from a European perspective while engagin

g in various debates circled around the theme ‘Changing Global Balances: Tow

ards a New Europe’’

The beautiful city of Istanbul sets the ideal scenery for this student organi

zation due its historical significance as well as its dynamic and modern spir

it. You will have the chance to discover Istanbul during the social events th

at our team carefully prepares for you.

【Committees】

Four bodies of the European Union will be simulated in Euroforum 2012. The wo

rking language of the conference is English except the European Economic and 

Social Committee, which will be simulated in French.
