Operations Global Graduate Associates Programme

1. About Operations at AstraZeneca & Supply Region AsiaPac & Japan
Our Operations organisation's goal is simple. To make sure our patients worldwide are supplied with cost-effective, life-changing medicines. That makes Operations the vital connection between our Research and Development lab and the pharmacy shelf. We operate in over 100 countries, and our medicines are used by millions of patients worldwide.
We're a team of around 65,000 people, working across the globe, driving innovation to solve some of the most serious medical issues facing mankind today. With manufacturing plants in 16 countries, we're committed to ensuring a reliable supply of medicines, where and when they are needed most.
Supply Region Asia Pacific & Japan are a manufacturing network that champions diversity whilst demonstrating widespread capability. We are a team of over 1800 professionals, managing 8 world-class manufacturing facilities and operating across 6 countries. These are the North Ryde Site in Australia, Maihara Site in Japan, Wuxi, Taizhou & Qingdao Sites in China, Cikarang Site in Indonesia, Bengaluru Site in India and Vorsino Site in Russia.
2. About the Programme
Our two-year rotational programme prepares you for accelerated entry into an impactful role, shaping your future as an Operations leader. Since its launch in 2009, over 250 graduates have completed our programme, and gone on to exciting careers.
Starting in September 2025, the programme consists of (3) eight-month placements, each offering valuable insights into our business and the opportunity to shape its strategic direction. You'll engage in a technically focused rotation, a placement at one of our manufacturing facilities, and a potential international assignment. Our placements are designed to give you hands-on experience across functions and build a strong foundation for rapid learning and growth. In our global and regional functions, you could develop your knowledge of Manufacturing, Global Quality, Supply Chain and other business areas. Our corporate functions will hone and develop your skills and experience across Procurement, Information Technology, and Engineering.

5. Essential Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree awarded in 2024 or due to be awarded in 2025 in biological/pharmaceutical science, engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing technology, data/digital/automation or a related field.
A passion to work in Operations, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, particularly with a real desire to take on real responsibilities in manufacturing and across the functions that support our supply chain activities
Strong business acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to motivate change
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Fluent in English
Geographical mobility, and willingness to live and work in different locations, with potential global assignment.
Available to start full-time work from September 2025.
Valid passport/work permit to work in mainland China
6. Development Path: What graduate placements may look like?
Over the 24 months in the program, each graduate has the opportunity to complete 3 rotations across different roles, each lasting 8 months, with the opportunity for one of them (usually Rotation 3) to offer global / international experience, aligned closely to business needs and relevant landing roles.
