• Specialization: Magnetism, spintronics, topological materials, and related topics

• Openings: 2-3 PhD students with full financial support

Note: While being affiliated with the ECE Department, Dr. Cheng conducts research mostly in
theoretical condensed matter physics, focusing on fundamental problems concerning magnetic
materials, especially transport phenomena arising from the topology of electronic structures.
