  英文原文:Explanation: Magnificent spiral galaxy NGC 4565 is viewed edge-on from planet Earth. Also known as the Needle Galaxy for its narrow profile, bright NGC 4565 is a stop on many telescopic tours of the northern sky, in the faint but well-groomed constellation Coma Berenices . This sharp, colorful image reveals the galaxy's boxy, bulging central core cut by obscuring dust lanes that lace NGC 4565's thin galactic plane. NGC 4565 lies around 40 million light-years distant while the spiral galaxy itself spans some 100,000 light-years. That's about the size of our own Milky Way. Easily spotted with small telescopes, deep sky enthusiasts consider NGC 4565 to be a prominent celestial masterpiece Messier missed .   说明：  壮丽的螺旋星系NGC 4565[5]是从地球望向其侧面视角。明亮的 NGC 4565 因其狭窄的轮廓而被称为针状星系。NGC 4565是许多北天望远镜巡礼的必经之地，位于微弱但整齐的后发座[6]中。 这张清晰而色彩丰富的图像[7]显示了星系的箱状隆起[8]的内核，并被屏蔽的尘埃带[9]所切割，这些尘埃带纵横交错于NGC 4565的薄星系平面。 NGC 4565距离地球约4000万光年[10]，而这个螺旋星系本身的直径约为10万光年，这大约是我们银河系的大小。 使用小型望远镜即可轻易观察到NGC 4565，深空爱好者[11]认为它是一个梅西耶错过[12]的天体杰作，。
