Simeis 147：意大利面星云超新星残骸

 说明：这个天体的暱称是「意大利面星云」。它的正式名称是Simeis 147[2]和Sharpless 2-240。在这个复杂的超新星残骸[3]中，顺着那些循环和扭曲的丝状结构，很容易让人迷失方向。 这片壮观的气体结构位于金牛座[4]和御夫座[5]的交界处方向[6]。这个壮观的气体结构在天球上覆盖了近3度[7]，相当于6个满月[8]的大小。这片星际残骸云的估计距离为3,000光年，推算残骸云的大小约为150光年[9] 这个超新星[10]残骸的估计年龄约为40,000年，这意味着这次强大的恒星爆炸光芒首次到达地球[11]时，长毛象仍在地球上自由漫步。除了不断扩张的残骸外，这场宇宙灾难[12]还留下了一颗脉冲星[13]，一颗快速旋转的中子星[14]，是原恒星内核的残余。 这张主题图像[15]是上个月在意大利[16]的卡纳皮内山口 Forca Canapine[17]所拍摄。
