Naomi Steinberg has set off to go around the planet with no airplane, carryin

g the story of Goosefeather, a performance which combines traditional storyte

lling technique together with movement and clowning, and is based on intervie

ws Naomi undertook with her grandfather in Paris. He taught her a lot about t

he meter, measurement, and map-making. 

Now compelled to feel through space and time in a different way, she is perfo

rming the story and inviting audiences to join her in the inquiry. The first 

leg of her journey was by cargo ship – 21 days across the Pacific from Los A

ngeles, USA to Melbourne, Australia. From Australia, another cargo ship broug

ht her to Hong Kong in time to celebrate the New Year, and now she finds hers

elf in Beijing ready to share in story and delight.

Naomi is an accomplished performer, storyteller, and site-specific installati

on artist. With over 14 years experience, she knows how to seduce her audienc

es through a provocative mix of political thought and artistic content. She t

ells her stories in a unique voice, with an evocative gestural language.
