Research Internship Opportunity: TheMatrix Project

TheMatrix Project (https://thematrix1999.github.io/) is seeking exceptional research interns to help develop next generation foundation models for AI, gaming, agent training, and AGI. We are a globally diverse research team with members from top tier institutions, including Alibaba Group, Hong Kong University, Vector Institute, University of Waterloo, and others. Our mission is to bring neural interaction simulation technology to real world applications, addressing critical future needs in AI. Our work has attracted significant attention from both academia and industry, with notable collaborations with research labs at AMD, Nvidia, Google, xAI, Apple, and more. For more details, check out this Twitter post from our collaborator: TheMatrix on Twitter (https://x.com/hongyangzh/status/1859288829825515810).

Who We're Looking For:

Strong implementation skills in AI, machine learning, and neural networks. Must be a student at Peking University or Tsinghua University with at least one year remaining before graduation (undergraduate, master’s, or PhD candidates welcome). Junior undergraduate or master’s students should submit a project or paper they've independently completed as part of their application. Senior master's or PhD students should have a strong publication record in relevant fields.

Internship Details:

Full time commitment for a duration of at least 3-4 months. Competitive salary of 400 RMB per day plus a monthly housing stipend of 2000 RMB. Project credits will be awarded based on actual contributions, with recognition for your work. Potential recommendation letters from leading North American collaborators. Access to state-of-the-art GPU resources and support for data annotation from Alibaba Group. Opportunity to work on cutting-edge video generation models and world model development. Flexible internship duration with the option to continue until graduation. Networking opportunities with influential leaders in the AI and tech industries, including AMD, Nvidia, and more.
