项目概述:
我们正在招募一到两位高度自我驱动、细致认真的研究助理/博士前助理,加入我们的团队,支持一项关于跨国基础设施对发展中国家结构性转型影响的研究。该项目聚焦于中国“一带一路”倡议的一部分,特别是巴基斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦、哈萨克斯坦和乌兹别克斯坦的大规模公路和铁路建设。我们使用前沿的数据集和研究方法,探讨这些基础设施建设对该地区经济转型的促进作用。对于能够全职参与的本科或硕士毕业生,我们提供北大国发院或洛桑大学经济学院的博士前助理工作机会。
主要职责:
·支持基础设施和经济影响的定量研究。
·使用Python处理大规模数据集,协助使用Stata或R进行统计分析。
·使用GeoPandas、ArcGIS、QGIS等GIS工具进行空间数据分析。
·使用LaTeX撰写和展示图表,参与研究报告的编写和可视化。
·参与文献综述、数据清理,并准备数据进行进一步分析。
任职要求:
·对中国海外经济发展和政策有强烈兴趣。
·具有经济学、经济地理学、地理信息系统 (GIS)或其他定量研究背景。
·熟练使用Python和**Stata (或R)**等主流数据分析语言。
·熟练使用GeoPandas、ArcGIS、QGIS等GIS工具。
·熟练使用Matlab进行结构方程估计者优先。
·熟练使用LaTeX进行写作和可视化展示者优先。
·兼职助理:每周至少工作15小时,并至少工作半年以上。
·全职助理:每周工作40小时,并至少工作一年以上。

Research Assistant/Predoc Position Recruitment
Project Overview:
We are recruiting one or two highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistants/Predocs to join our team in supporting a project on the impact of transnational infrastructure on the structural transformation of developing countries. This project focuses on a branch of China’s Belt and Road
Initiative (BRI), particularly largescale road and railway construction in Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. We use advanced datasets and methodologies to explore the extent to which such infrastructure developments contribute to economic transformation in these regions. For full-time candidates, we offer pre-doctoral opportunities at the National
School of Development at Peking University (NSD) or the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities:
·Support quantitative research on infrastructure and economic impacts.
·Handle large datasets using Python and assist with statistical analysis using Stata or R.
·Conduct spatial data analysis using GeoPandas, ArcGIS, QGIS.
·Assist in report writing and visualization using LaTeX.
·Conduct literature reviews, data cleaning, and prepare data for analysis.
Qualifications:
·Strong interest in China’s overseas economic development and policies.
·Background in economics, economic geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or other quantitative research fields.
·Proficiency in Python and Stata (or R).
·Experience with GeoPandas, ArcGIS, QGIS for GIS analysis.
·Familiarity with Matlab for structural equation modeling is a plus.
·Proficiency in LaTeX for writing and visualization is preferred.
·Part-time Assistants: Minimum of 15 hours per week, for at least 6 months.
·Full-time Assistants: 40 hours per week, for at least one year.
